The IFP has won three of the four by-elections held in Heattonville, Greytown, Durban Ward 25 and Paulpietersburg on Wednesday 28th March by a resounding large margin. Mr Albert Mncwango, the National Organiser, said that the by-election victories were an endorsement of the IFP's programme for delivery and were a tribute to the sterling work of the party's activists and candidates hard work.

Mr Mncwango said:

"These three by-elections victories with large margins confirm that more and more people are turning to the IFP for effective delivery in local government. We will continue to work hard to build upon these successes and fulfill the commitments to the people who have put their trust in us."
