The 30th Annual General Conference of the
Inkatha Freedom Party will open at 18hr00, Friday 2 September,
at the eMandleni Matleng Youth Training Camp in Ulundi,
KwaZulu-Natal. The Conference will culminate in a 30th
Anniversary rally at Ulundi Stadium at 10hr00 on Sunday morning,
4 September.
Day 1: Friday, 02 September 2005 - 18hr00
The first item in the session will be the
'Track record of IFP governed municipalities and challenges that
lie ahead' by Professor CT Msimang, the Chairperson of the
Party's Political Oversight Committee.
This will be followed by a presentation on
the 'Party Structures in Preparation for Local Government
Elections' by Mr AM Mncwango, the Party's National Organiser.
A closed discussion and resolutions
session will then follow.
Day 2: Saturday, September 3, 2005 -
09hr00
The first business of the day will be the
elections of the National Chairperson and the Deputy National
Chairperson.
This will be followed by the keynote
address by the President of the IFP, Prince Mangosuthu
Buthelezi.
The second session will open at 15hr00.
Reverend KM Zondi, the Party's Secretary-General and the
Chairperson of the Constitutional Review Committee will present
proposed Constitutional Amendments. A closed discussion and
resolution session will then follow.
This will be followed by a further closed
session 'Presentation on Preparation for Local Elections' by Mr
Peter Smith, Chairperson of the Party's National Election
Committee. This will be followed by a further closed discussion
and resolution session.
Prince Mangosuthu Buthelezi will then give
the farewell address at the close of the Conference.
Day 3: Sunday, September 4, 2005 - 10hr00
In a day of celebration and entertainment,
an address by the new Chairperson of the Party will be followed
by Prince Mangosuthu Buthelezi's keynote address, at the 30th
Anniversary Rally of the IFP at the Ulundi Stadium at 10hr00 on
Sunday, September 4, 2005.
