IFP National Organiser, Mr Albert Mncwango today congratulated and welcomed members of the newly elected IFP uThungulu District Committee. The elections, which were held on Saturday, 31st May 2008, in Umlalazi, resulted in Mr BV Mthethwa being elected as Chairperson of the IFP uThungulu District.

Mr Mncwango welcomed Mr BV Mthethwa and his incoming team stating; "The IFP congratulates and welcomes "BV" and his team. We wish him success in his term as Chairperson of the uThungulu District. We have every confidence in his ability to deliver because we know that he is not new to leadership positions."

"We also want to thank members of the outgoing committee for their service and commitment and look forward to their continued co-operation and involvement in the party. I am sure that the incoming committee will also welcome their support," Mr Mncwango added.

The new committee is constituted as follows:
Chairperson: Mr BV Mthethwa
Deputy Chairperson: Mr M Xulu (Umlalazi)
Secretary: Mr ZO Zulu (Mayor of Nkandla) Deputy Secretary: Mr D Mare (Umlalazi)
Treasurer: Mr S Larken (Mayor of uThungulu District Municipality)
Deputy Secretary: Mr I Naidu (Speaker - uThungulu District Municipality)
Publicity Secretary: Mr ME Mthethwa (Mayor of Kwambonambi Municipality)
Deputy Publicity Secretary: Prince SS Zulu (Mtonjaneni)

"As we head toward the next elections we have full confidence in the ability of this team to deliver and to uphold the values of IFP (solidarity, freedom and unity in diversity) in all their work," concluded Mr Mncwango.
