The IFP today joins with the Jewish Community in commemorating the Festival of Pesach (Passover).

It is fitting that as the Jewish Community celebrates nearly three thousands year of delivery from slavery we acknowledge the enormous role played by the Jewish Community in defending and promoting the core principles of democracy and freedom of choice in South Africa, during our first decade of freedom.

This is quite apart from acknowledging the huge contribution that the Jewish Community makes to our way of life in South Africa in the fields of commerce, the arts and the quest for knowledge.
