IFP to Brief Media on Serious Instances of Political Intolerance in KZN

5 April 2009

The IFP leadership flanked by the Mayor of Umzinyathi Cllr. M.S.Yengwa will brief the media on serious instances of political intolerance and intimidation in Greytown, where the ANC denied the IFP their right to campaign freely in the area on Sunday.

The ANC's actions in Greytown have contravened the Electoral Code of Conduct and are once again proof that the ANC in KZN is not committed to peaceful,  free and fair elections.

It is becoming evident that the ANC is now realising that its electoral fortunes in KwaZulu Natal are slipping away and is resorting to desperate gutter electioneering tactics to stop the IFP and other parties from campaigning.
