IFP Forward Planning Note - 7th February 2006

The IFP National Organiser, Mr Albert Mncwango, today presented the IFP's Forward Planning Note for the upcoming campaign week:

Thursday, 9th February 2006

The IFP National Chairperson, Ms Zanele Magwaza will be campaigning in Ntunjambili, Kranskop. The programme will include walkabouts and door-to-door campaigns and will begin at 09h00.

Friday, 10th February 2006

The IFP President, Prince Mangosuthu Buthelezi, will open the Regional Sports Field in Thubalethu Township in Melmoth. The function will start at 10h00.

The National Chairperson, Ms Zanele Magwaza, will be at KwaSokhulu in KwaMbonambi, where she will be supporting candidates in their campaigns. This will include walkabouts and door-to-door campaigning. The campaign is scheduled to begin at 09h00.

The IFP Secretary-General, Rev. Musa Zondi, will be campaigning in Indlovu - Mshwati (Wartburg). He will support candidates in their walkabouts and door-to-door campaigns there, starting at 10h00.

Minister Blessed Gwala will visit Traditional Leaders and Amakhosi in the Commondale and surrounding areas of Piet Retief. The programme will start at 09h00.

Minister Narend Singh will be handing over the Public Library to the people of Nongoma at 10h00.

Saturday, 11th February 2006

The IFP President, Prince Mangosuthu Buthelezi, will be the guest of honour at a civic function in Dundee where the UMnzinyathi Municipality Buildings will be officially named after his mother, Princess Magogo. The function will start at 09h00.

Prince Buthelezi will then proceed to Newcastle where he will continue with walkabouts and whistle stop visits, ending in an address to the general public at the F.E.T. College, in Madadeni. The programme is expected to begin at 13h00.

The IFP National Chairperson, Ms Zanele Magwaza, will be campaigning in Ubuhlebezwe in Sisonke. The meeting point will be the Jolivet Community Hall at 09h00, where she will meet candidates and councillors and together embark on a door-to-door campaign at Njane, Gqumeni and the Jolivet Shopping Centre.

The campaign will then head for Oetting Mission at 11h00 and proceed through Hlokozi (Shiyabanye Tribal Courthouse to Ikhwezi Lokusa Tribal Court House).

This will be followed by a walkabout at the Highflats Shopping Centre at 13h00.

At 14h30 Ms Magwaza will address a public meeting at Emazabekweni Community Hall. The programme is scheduled to end at 16h00.

Minister Narend Singh will be campaigning in Eshowe. The meeting point will be the Mayoral Office in Eshowe at 12h30, which will be followed by walkabouts and whistle stop visits to various suburbs of Eshowe, including lunching with 50 residents of Mphushini Park and visits to Norwood Park and Sunnydale.

Sunday, 12th February 2006

The IFP President, Prince Mangosuthu Buthelezi, will launch the IFP's campaign in Gauteng.

This event will take place at the Thokoza Stadium in Thokoza, Ekurhuleni. IFP candidates in Gauteng will be presented to the Gauteng electorate and take the IFP's pledge of Honour, Service and Delivery. The event will start at 10h00.

The IFP National Chairperson, Ms Zanele Magwaza, will be addressing people at KwaMachi and KwaJali in Umuziwabantu, Ugu District. The programme will begin at 09h30.

The IFP Deputy National Chairperson, Mr Velaphi Ndlovu, will lead campaigning in the Outer West, Durban. There will be four teams, which will cover Wards 1, 4, 5, 6, 7, and 91. The meeting point will be the Intshanga Turn Off at 08h30. The finishing point will be the Mpumalanga Stadium.
