The IFP Youth Brigade has called upon the
IFP to continue its dynamic tradition of appointing youth as
mayors.
"The IFP has fielded thousands of
youth as candidates for the upcoming local government elections.
The IFP Youth Brigade has gone on an all-out offensive to ensure
that the IFP retains all currently lFP-held municipalities and
further wins all the wards it is contesting. As such the Youth
Brigade has mobilised the young people of this country to
deliver a resounding IFP victory on March 1," IFPYB
National Chairperson Thulasizwe Buthelezi said.
"We further assert the Youth
Brigade's readiness, willingness and capability to serve at the
highest level of local government after the IFP's victory on
March 1. For the past five years the youth has championed the
IFP's vision of caring and efficient local government by being
at the coalface of service, delivery and community development.
We call on the IFP to appoint youth as District and Local Mayors
to accelerate the IFP's record of delivery," Thulasizwe
concluded.
