The Economic Cluster of the IFP in
Parliament, at its meeting today, expressed its concern about
the ongoing transport strike and the severe consequences and
cost to the Country.
The IFP therefore calls on both parties to
the impasse to put South Africa first and through proper
negotiations come to a negotiated settlement of this grave
situation.
We have noted with gratitude that some
progress has been made and that a report-back session to the
relevant principals is being made. We can only trust that the
leaders on both sides will be reasonable, to bring this dispute
to an amicable end.
