IFP CALLS FOR DRIVERS AND PEDESTRIANS TO HEED THE
CALL OF WORLD HEALTH DAY
Durban: 7 April 2004
It is particularly relevant to South Africa that the theme of World Health
Day, which is being celebrated today, is road safety, Musa Zondi IFP
National Spokesperson said today.
Musa Zondi said:
"South Africa has one of the highest road accident rates in the world. On
the occasion of World Health Day, which this year has road safety as its
theme, we call upon all South African drivers and pedestrians to be extra
vigilant when using our roads."
"This is especially important with the busy Easter holiday season coming up,
and when many people will also be taking advantage of the election period to
extend their breaks."
