7th December 2009
As representatives of the people, IFP
MP's and MPL's will be holding a series of report back sessions
to their constituents and interested members of the public. The
first phase of the programme will begin on Thursday the 10th
December 2009 at 10h00, in which the IFP will hold four (4)
report back sessions simultaneously. Future dates will be
announced in due course.
The programme will begin with a brief
report back by MP's and MPL's on their activities during the
2009 first session of parliament. This will be followed by an
opportunity for participants to convey to IFP members of
parliament concerns and issues which they desire to be raised
during the next session of parliament, both provincially and
nationally.
Mr Thulasizwe Buthelezi, MPL and IFP
Deputy National Spokesperson, said:
'We are excited at this opportunity to report back to the people
who voted for the IFP and members of the public on what we have
already achieved on their behalf in our parliamentary work. But
even more exciting is the opportunity to get a renewed mandate
on the issues we should raise in the next sitting of parliament.
'
