The Inkatha Freedom Party sends its condolences to the family and friends of those who lost their lives due to the accident at the mine yesterday.

We do know that a Health and Safety Summit will be held this year, 2005. We sincerely hope that at the conclusion of the Summit the causes of the recent accidents in the mining industry will be clarified and that preventative, life saving, measures can be adopted for the future.
