Dr Bongingkosi T. Buthelezi, KZN Parliamentary Opposition Leader & IFP Provincial Secretary, expressed delight at the verdict handed down at the High Court in Durban today, in which Mr Bheki Cele was unsuccessful in obtaining an interdict against the IFP, relating to an incident which took place in Nongoma during the 2009 elections.

BT Buthelezi said:

'Justice has been served.  Mr Bheki Cele did not succeed. The interdict was denied. We are delighted at the outcome.'

 'One can only hope that this will be a lesson learnt for Mr Cele as he goes about his job of Top Cop of South Africa,' he concluded. .
