IFP WISHES THE PEOPLE OF SOUTH AFRICA A VERY HAPPY EASTER
-And remembers the greatest act of love-
Durban: 9 April 2004
The IFP today wished all the people of South Africa a very happy Easter and
encouraged all people everywhere to draw comfort and inspiration from the
greatest act of love in the history of humanity.
Musa Zondi, IFP National Spokesperson, said that the sell out success of Mel
Gibson's 'The Passion' across our land has clearly shown that we still live
in a spiritual as well as a material world. And, indeed, there are deeper
issues that transcend the daily diet of political discourse.
Musa Zondi added:
"At a time when politicians from across the political divide are asking for
a mandate, let us all reflect on the humanity and sacrifice of the Lord
Jesus Christ, who exhorted us always 'to serve and not be served.'
"
"And the IFP also takes this opportunity to ask drivers and pedestrians to
be extra vigilant over this busy period."
