Ms Pat Lebenya MP, Acting National Chairperson of the IFP Youth Brigade (IFPYB), today said: 

"The IFP Youth Brigade would like to take this opportunity to emphatically state that in no way did the IFPYB ever call for the Party to amend its constitution to allow for the position of a Deputy President." 

"I, Pat Lebenya Acting National Chairperson of the IFPYB, as well as the Youth Brigade categorically distance us from the rumours of a call made by the IFPYB for an amendment to the Party's constitution.  Not only is it ridiculous, but it is not Party or Youth Brigade policy nor was it ever on any agenda, neither was an informal proposal ever made in this regard. " 

"We hope this puts an end to all and any speculation about this absurd rumour."
