IFP CONDEMNS CAPE BOMB OUTRAGE
CAPE TOWN : 11 JUNE, 2000
IFP Safety and Security
Spokesperson, Mr Velaphi Ndlovu MP, today, condemned those responsible for
planting the bomb which exploded in Seapoint, Cape Town, yesterday night.
Mr Ndlovu said:
"It is hard to find
words to describe those who are willing to plant explosives with the
intention of maiming and murdering innocent men, women and children in
the Western Cape."
"I appeal, on behalf
of the IFP, to all members of the local community to provide whatever
information and assistance to the police that they can, in order that
these vile criminals may be caught, convicted and punished with the full
force of the law."
"I also urge the Western Cape
Minister for Safety and Security, Mark Wiley, to work in close
partnership with his national counterpart, Steve Tshwete to end the
gangsterism, terrorism and general lawlessness which today threatens to
take an unshakeable hold on the Cape."
