With just a few months before the
general elections, the Inkatha Freedom Party has been dealt a
blow with the death of one of its Provincial leaders, Ms
Nompumelelo Junerose Hadebe, aged 39, who passed away on the
11th November after a long illness. Ms Hadebe was one of the
pillars of the IFP within the Sisonke District Municipality and
was a Member of the Provincial Executive Committee of the IFP
Women's Brigade. She will be buried tomorrow after a funeral
service scheduled to begin at 09h00 at Jolivet in eXobho.
Conveying condolences on behalf of the
IFP, Provincial Chairperson of the Women's Brigade, Ms Bonisiwe
Mtshali said: "Comrade Mpume Hadebe's passing away has dealt us
a major blow. She was a dedicated and loyal leader to whom no
sacrifice was too great for the party. Our hearts as the
Provincial Committee of the Women's Brigade, go out to the
Hadebe family, the people of Sisonke and to all our Comrades.
Let Mpume's departure spur us to work even harder to ensure the
realization of what was her dream, which was to rescue
KwaZulu-Natal from the chains of empty rhetoric, fruitless
political showmanship and unfulfilled promises and the
squandering of public funds, which are the hallmark of the ANC
government."
