The National South African Workers Welfare
(NASAWW), which is working to educate and develop the workers of
South Africa about HIV/Aids, will be formally launched in Cape
Town on the 17th February 2005.
Members of the media corps are cordially
welcome to attend. The launch will take place at 17hr00, at the
Cape Hollow Boutique Hotel, 88 Queen Victoria Street (opposite
Company Gardens and the Planetarium).
NASAWW's new patron, Prince Mangosuthu
Buthelezi, the Traditional Prime Minister of the Zulu Nation,
will formally open the launch.
The General-Secretary of the South African
Transport and Allied Workers Union (SATUWA), Mr Randall Howard
will address the delegates and invited guests at the launch.
Already within the first two years of its
existence, NASAWW has set four offices in the Western Cape
(George, Worcester, Bellville and Cape Town) to assist and train
workers and members of SATAWU about HIV/AIDS related issues in
the workplace and their communities.
