IFP WELCOMES ARREST OF SAPS MEMBERS IN CONNECTION WITH WESTERN CAPE BOMBINGS

CAPE TOWN : FEBRUARY 16, 2000

Mr Velaphi Ndlovu, IFP Spokesperson on Safety and Security has today welcomed the arrest of SAPS members in connection with the Western Cape bombing campaign.

Mr Ndlovu said: "I congratulate the Head of the ICD stationed here in the Western Cape for the work done in arresting and questioning members of SAPS presumed to be involved in the Western Cape bombing."

"I encourage the ICD to continue its good work in probing these acts of violence and property destruction which it is alleged has involved some members of the police."

"I warn any member of SAPS involved in such crimes to desist from such acts of violence or face arrest and sever punishment."
