April 16, 2005 Prince Mangosuthu Buthelezi, the President of the Inkatha Freedom Party, today condemned those responsible for the desecration of the tombstone of inkosi Salimani Gcumisa. This grotesque act was followed by an attempt by ANC supporters, reportedly brandishing guns in some instances, to intimidate people to not attend the unveiling function in Kwaswayimani. Mangosuthu Buthelezi will proceed to give the keynote speak at the grave of Inkosi Gcumisa this morning. In his speech, Buthelezi will address the Zulu question and refute the critics who have accused him of ethno-nationalism. |
