The IFP Safety and Security Study Group is shocked to learn of the tragic death of ANC MPP and colleague, Mr Bheki Mthembu. This futile and deeply worrying event casts a shadow over efforts to bring peace in our province. Mr Mthembu has worked as an active member of the Safety and Security Portfolio Committee in the flash points and his contribution will be greatly appreciated.

IFP Safety and Security spokesman, Mr Philip Powell has called on the police investigating his murder to leave no stone unturned in locating his killers. Mr Powell has also urged all political parties to co-operate with the police in their investigation.

Members of the IFP Safety and Security Study Group wish to extend their heartfelt condolences to the Mthembu family at their grievous loss.
