The IFP National Election Manager Mfanje
Mbango today announced that the IFP will be taking its listening
campaign to Port Shepstone and Umzimkhulu this weekend.
The Port Shepstone Listening Campaign
will take place on Saturday, 20 September 2008, at the Port
Shepstone Municipal Hall and will start at 10h00. The keynote
address will be delivered by IFP President Prince Mangosuthu
Buthelezi.
On Sunday, 21 September 2008, the
campaign will move on to the Umzimkhulu Town Hall and the event
will start at 10h00. The top leadership and IFP policy unit will
attend the event.
"We extend our invitation to the members
of the public to make use of this opportunity to make their
voices heard about everyday issues that affect their lives,"
said Mbango.
The IFP has also invited important
stakeholders, traditional leaders, traditional healers,
professionals, civic and community organisations and unions.
"We have been very impressed with the
contributions made at all our listening campaigns so far. Our
listening campaigns will culminate in a special Policy
Conference later in the year where we will consolidate all the
inputs we have received from the public and turn it into
concrete policy positions," said Mbango.
