The IFP's KwaZulu-Natal Spokesperson Mr Velaphi
Ndlovu MP today called on KwaZulu-Natal's Minister for Community Safety
and Liaison Mr Bheki Cele, to take off his political hat and put on his
government hat in dealing with allegations of a hit squad operating out of
the government flats in Ulundi.
Mr Ndlovu said:
"Minister Cele urgently needs to change his
political hat for his government hat when dealing with allegations that
there is a hit squad operating out of the government flats in
Ulundi."
"Charges have been made and it is the duty of
the Minister to follow his mandate by ensuring that an investigation
takes place as soon as possible in light of the seriousness of the
allegations. The Minister must allow the investigation take place
without any bias, which could prove to be difficult as the Ministers
dismissive attitude towards the allegations could have already
prejudiced the investigating officers."
