20th August 2008
The IFP National Organiser, Mr Albert
Mncwango, today announced the IFP's 33rd Annual General
Conference programme. The Conference will take place from
Friday, 22 August until Sunday, 24 August 2008 at the Emandleni
Matleng Youth Centre in Ulundi, KwaZulu-Natal.
Mr Mncwango said, "We will be holding
our last Annual General Conference before the 2009 elections on
the theme 'Honesty, Integrity & Courage - the IFP answer in a
time of crisis'. South Africa needs us now more than ever, our
people are tired of promises, lack of delivery, spiralling crime
and food costs. We will gather at Ulundi to discuss how to
present ourselves as the only reasonable and viable political
party to South Africans who have not yet heard our message of
solidarity, freedom and unity in diversity."
"The Conference will start at 19h00 on
Friday, 22 August 2008 with the opening address of the IFP
President, Prince Mangosuthu Buthelezi. This will be followed by
reports on the IFP's track record in Local Government."
"On Saturday the Conference will start
at 09h00. The National Chairperson, Ms VZ kaMagwaza-Msibi, will
welcome delegates and hereafter the IFP President, Prince
Mangosuthu Buthelezi, will deliver his presidential address to
the Conference."
"After lunch on Saturday the
Secretary-General, Rev KM Zondi, will present his report to
conference. Hereafter discussion groups will meet, followed by
group reports."
"On Sunday the Conference will start at
09h00. Amendments to the Party's constitution will be raised,
followed by reports from the IFP's Parliamentary Caucuses and
Conference Resolutions. Conference will be closed by the IFP
President, Prince Mangosuthu Buthelezi," Mr Mncwango concluded.
