The IFP National Organiser, Mr Albert Mncwango, today announced:

Wednesday, 22nd February 2006:

IFP President, Prince Mangosuthu Buthelezi will lead a walkabout in Umhlathuze, beginning at 11h00, which will be followed by a public meeting in Brackenham, Umhlathuze (Empangeni). The event will take place at the Brackenham Community Hall and will start at 18h30.

Minister Narend Singh will accompany Prince Buthelezi. Other high-ranking members of the IFP leadership will also be present.

The National Chairperson, Ms Zanele Magwaza will participate in an Osizweni Road Show in Amajuba. The meeting point will be the Newcastle Spur at 09h00. The route will include Dry Cut, Roy Point, Siyahlala and K Section.

IFP Secretary-General, Rev. Musa Zondi, will be campaigning in Ulundi. He will be supporting candidates in their walkabouts and door-to-door campaigns, in Wards 14, 17, 23, 24, in Inkosi's Ntombela and Mlaba's areas.

IFP President, Prince Mangosuthu Buthelezi will meet Amakhosi from uThungulu at 09h00 in the KwaMthethwa area (Empangeni) and later address the Mthethwa Clan.

Minister NJ Ngubane and IFP Deputy National Chairperson, Mr Velaphi Ndlovu, will be campaigning in eThekwini Municipality. This will take the form of walkabouts, Whistle-stop visits and door-to-door campaigning. The programme will begin at the Umkomaas Town Hall at 08h00. Four (4) teams will be dispersed to cover Craigieburn, Crowder and Mahlongwa, Danganya and Magabheni.

Minister Singh will participate in a civic function in Ezinqoleni. This will take the form of a soil turning ceremony at the Ezinqoleni Library.

IFP President, Prince Mangosuthu Buthelezi will be participating in a civic function in Hlabisa. He will be officially opening the Municipal Offices there. The function will start at 10h00.

Min Narend Singh will be the guest speaker at a cultural event in which all the schools in Sweetwaters, in Pietermaritzburg, will participate. This will take place at the Laduma School in Sweetwaters and begin at 13h30.

IFP President, Prince Mangosuthu Buthelezi, will be campaigning in Ndwedwe, Ilembe. This will take the form of a roadshow and walkabouts. The programme will start at 10h00 in Central Ndwedwe (outside the Community Hall) then proceed to the Taxi Rank, through and Ndwedwe and end up in Tongaat.

IFP National Chairperson, Ms Zanele Magwaza, will be supporting local candidates in the walkabouts and door-to-door campaigns in Vryheid, Abaqulusi. The event will begin at 10h00 at the IFP Office.

The meeting point will be the Midway Off-Ramp and 10h00. They will then visit various wards and meet with the people of Umtshezi Constituency.
