It is with regret and a profound sense of sadness that the IFPYB announced today that one of its greatest stalwarts, Miss Pinky Hlengiwe Kunene, passed away after a long illness at Nkonjeni Hospital in the Ulundi district on Friday 18th April 2003.

The funeral service will take place on Saturday, 26th April 2003, at 0800hrs at the multi-purpose hall in Ulundi.

Pinky made a great contribution to the life of the Youth Brigade and to the IFP generally. She helped facilitate the establishment of the KZN Youth Commission and represented the youth of the KwaZulu-Natal on the body of the National Youth Commission.

Pinky is survived by her son, two daughters, and her mother.
