IFPYB Condemns Current Youth Development Neglect

Inkatha Freedom Party Statement By:

The Inkatha Freedom Party Youth Brigade (IFPYB) has realised that the youth of South Africa are being neglected by all the youth development structures which are led by the ANC Youth League members.

The National Youth Commission failed the youth.  It is even worse since the beginning of the ANC succession debate.  The National Youth Commission needs to be informed that the development of young people is not only on the 16th of June (Youth Month), and it does not revolve around President Thabo Mbeki and the ANC's Deputy President, Jacob Zuma's presidential race.  South Africa should not be indirectly dragged into the ANC's problems.

We also feel that if there was a Minister of Youth Affairs, there would be no change of focus because the department was to address youth development directly.
