IFP EXTENDS CONDOLENCES TO THE ZUNGU FAMILY

Durban: November 23, 2004

Mr G.B. Bhengu, IFP MPP from Eshowe today extended the condolences of the IFP to the family and friends of Mr Nhlahla Dennis C. Zungu, born on the 10th May 1953.

Mr "Doda" Zungu was fatally shot, while he was closing his store on Sunday afternoon, 21st November 2004, in the King Dinuzulu suburb of Eshowe in northern KwaZulu-Natal. His killers fled with his vehicle, money and his firearm.

Mr Bhengu said:

"Doda will be missed by many people in the community. He was a good man who took an active interest in community affairs. He was also a prominent businessperson in Eshowe. On behalf of the IFP I send condolences to his wife and their six (6) children. We know that they will miss their husband and father. We pray that God will comfort them and give them security in the knowledge that they are not alone in mourning the loss of Doda."

"We call on the police to investigate this matter swiftly in order that justice be done so that these senseless murderous can be captured as soon as possible."
