The South African Democratic Students Movement (SADESMO) wishes Shenge all the best on his birthday tomorrow, 27th August 2009. 

"We wish him many, many more happy years and express the hope that he will long continue to serve the people of South Africa," said Ntuthuko Majozi SADESMO Deputy President. 

SADESMO acknowledges and thanks Prince MG Buthelezi for the extensive contribution he has made to our country, especially our education system. 

"The establishment of nursing colleges, teaching colleges and institutions of higher learning, such as the Mangosuthu University of Technology, proves his commitment to education," said Majozi. 

Majozi added: "Prince Buthelezi plays an indispensable role today in promoting the values which sustain our democracy and we will therefore defend the legacy of our President at any cost and we will not allow a situation where he is vilified by some disgruntled members of our party."
