The IFP KwaZulu-Natal Youth Brigade expressed its shock at the closure of the main campus of the University of Zululand today.

"We find it incomprehensible that the education of students can be disrupted because the ANC-aligned students' organisation (Sasco) cannot or will not accept the SRC electoral results," Siyabonga Mazibuko, the IFPYB KwaZulu-Natal Provincial Chairperson said.

"We support and have faith in the leadership and integrity of the members and leaders of Sadesmo and that they will ensure that democracy prevails. A situation cannot be allowed to develop where a minority holds the university hostage and prevents the education of young people," Siyabonga Mazibuko concluded.
