The Acting
Chairperson of the Inkatha Freedom Party Youth Brigade, Mrs Pat
Lebenya-Ntanzi MP, today called on students to resist being
taught ANC propaganda at schools.
Mrs
Lebenya-Ntanzi commented: "We would like to restate our view
that the ANC is using the Grade 12 history book titled "IN
SEARCH OF HISTORY", as a propaganda tool. The book depicts
shameful lies about our history and deliberately distorts facts
about the role of the IFP in the struggle for liberation and the
contribution made by our leader Prince Mangosuthu Buthelezi.
"It is clear
that the ANC-led government is trying to poison the minds of
young people by not withdrawing this book as we have requested
on numerous occasions. We therefore call on all Grade 12
learners to refrain from using this book."
The IFPYB
argues that another example of how the ANC manipulates processes
to fit their own agenda has been the flawed street re-naming
process in Durban.
Mrs
Lebenya-Ntanzi commented: "As the IFPYB, we would like to
express our support for our party's legal bid to have the
controversial street renaming process set aside.
"We are
adamant that it was a flawed exercise from the start and that
the correct procedures were not followed by the eThekwini
Municipality. We are therefore confident that the court will
rule in our favour," concluded Mrs Lebenya-Ntanzi.
