IFP ALARMED AT THE BREAK-IN AT MR S'BU NDEBELE'S HOME

DURBAN : JANUARY 29, 2003

The Safety and Security spokesperson of the IFP, Mr V.B Ndlovu, has expressed alarm at the incident of the break-in by intruders into the home of the ANC KwaZulu-Natal provincial leader, Mr S'bu Ndebele.

Mr V.B Ndlovu said:

"The IFP was alarmed to hear that the security of Mr S'bu Ndebele's home was breached by intruders, and we are glad that Mr Ndebele was unhurt in the incident."

"This incident comes soon after the killing of Prince Mazwi Zulu and demonstrates that no one is safe from crime. The IFP condemns the rampant rise of crime in the province and nationally, and calls for an urgent review of the criminal justice system to stem the wave of criminality that threatens to engulf us all."
