Media Registration Reminder

IFP Annual General Conference 6th - 8th October 2006

The IFP will be holding its 31st Annual General Conference at the Emandleni-Matleng Youth Centre in Ulundi from Friday, 6th October to Sunday 8th October 2006.

Media are required to apply for accreditation to the AGC via the IFP's website ( www.ifp.org.za ). Should there be any queries concerning the accreditation process please contact Nicki Hoosen (031 - 365 1320) or Nicky Lucas (031 365 1366).

The Inkatha Freedom Party will hold its 31st Annual General Conference at the Emandleni-Matleng Youth Centre.

The Conference will start at 19h00 on Friday with the opening address of the IFP President, Prince Mangosuthu Buthelezi. This will be followed by comprehensive reports on the general governance of the country and with a particular focus on local and provincial governments in which the Party participates.

On Saturday the Conference will start at 09h00. The National Chairperson, Ms VZ Magwaza, will welcome delegates. Hereafter the IFP President will deliver his presidential address to the Conference.

After lunch on Saturday the Conference will elect National Council members.
Hereafter discussion groups will meet, followed by group reports.

On Sunday the Conference will start at 09h00. Amendments to the Party's constitution will be raised, followed by reports from the IFP's Parliamentary Caucuses. Conference will be closed by the IFP President, Prince Mangosuthu Buthelezi.
