IFP PRESS STATEMENT BY:
Mr Albert Mncwango
IFP National Organiser
5th August 2008
The IFP
National Organiser, Mr Albert Mncwango announced that Ulundi
will be the next stop on the IFP's listening programme. It will
take place on Friday, 8th August 2008 at the Multi-Purpose Hall
in Ulundi and will begin at 13h00.
IFP National
Chairperson, Mrs Zanele kaMagwaza-Msibi, Deputy National
Chairperson Mr Velaphi Ndlovu, as well as the acting Chairperson
of the Youth Brigade, Mrs Pat Lebenya-Ntanzi, will be there to
listen to the concerns of the people of Ulundi.
Mr Mncwango
said:
'Even though
Ulundi is considered to be an IFP stronghold, we believe it is
important that we provide the people who live there an
opportunity to share their concerns and hopes for the future
with us. The IFP does not take its supporters for granted and
we believe that we will learn much from listening to what some
members of our core constituency have to say.'
'We are
excited to be going to Ulundi, especially after our successful
hearing in QwaQwa last weekend. We are going there to listen to
the people and not to give long speeches. Once we have heard
what they have to say we will include it into our party policy
formulation process which will culminate in a policy conference
in January 2009.'
'We have
been very impressed with the contributions made at all our
hearings so far, as we have travelled from Gauteng to
KwaZulu-Natal to Mpumalanga and to QwaQwa. The Eastern Cape (Umtata)
will follow Ulundi,' concluded Mr Mncwango.
All media
are invited to attend.
