IFP PRESS STATEMENT BY:
Mr Albert Mncwango
IFP National Organiser

8th July 2008

IFP National Organiser, Mr Albert Mncwango, today announced that the IFP will be holding a listening event at the Kempville Hall, Mayet Street, Kempville in Piet Retief, Mpumalanga Province, on Saturday, 12th July 2008.

The event will begin at 10h00 and end at 13h00.

Top IFP leadership, including its Secretary General - Rev Musa Zondi, the Chairperson of the Women's Brigade - Mrs Thembi Nzuza, its National Organiser - Mr Albert Mncwango, members of National Council and IFP Policy Unit leaders will be present in order to personally listen to the cares and concerns and policy proposals of the people of Mpumalanga province.

Mr Mncwango said: "We are excited to be in Mpumalanga on Saturday. We have learnt a lot from the people of South Africa on our listening programme thus far. People have shared their genuine concerns with us, which has touched us deeply."

"We have also been surprised by the well thought out policy proposals that have been tabled to us both verbally and in writing and look forward to receiving more," continued Mr Mncwango.

"We come to Mpumalanga Province in a humble spirit, willing, once again, to listen and learn. We are not coming with long speeches. We are coming to listen instead to the people of the area."

"Once we have heard from all the people of South Africa, the IFP will hold a special Policy Conference later in the year to consolidate all submissions and turn them into concrete policy positions. This is an exciting process, which we hope all members of the public will make use of," concluded Mr Mncwango.
