Mr Albert Mncwango
IFP National Organiser
10th June 2008
IFP National Organiser, Mr Albert Mncwango, today announced that the IFP will be taking its listening campaign to Newcastle in KwaZulu-Natal on Saturday, 14th June 2008. It will take place at the Fairleigh Hall, Hospital Road, Newcastle and will begin at 10h00 and end at 13h00.
The top leadership of the IFP, including its Secretary General, members of National Council and IFP Policy Unit leaders will be present in order to personally listen to what the people of the Newcastle and surrounding areas have to say.
Mr Mncwango said:
"We are not going to Newcastle to hold long speeches. Rather, we are going there to listen to the concerns and aspirations of the people of the area.
We invite members of the public to make use of this opportunity to feed into the national discourse in South Africa."
"Once we have heard from the all people of South Africa the IFP will hold a special Policy Conference later in the year to consolidate all that we have heard and turn it into concrete policy positions. This is an exciting process which I hope that members of the public will make use of,' concluded Mr Mncwango.
All members of the media are invited to attend.
