Condolences To The Mandela Family
Statement By Prince Mangosuthu Buthelezi MP

Johannesburg: Friday 11 June 2010

It was with great shock and sadness that I have learned of the road accident that has claimed the life of former President Nelson Mandela's great granddaughter, Zenani Mandela this morning.

It is heart-wrenching that something as joyous as attending the 2010 World Cup opening concert could have such disastrous consequences.

On behalf of my family and the IFP, I would like to extend my sincerest and heartfelt condolences to the Mandela family. This tragic loss is not only a loss for them, but is a great loss for the entire nation.

We wish the Mandela family hope in the midst of sorrow, comfort in the midst of pain and we hope that they may find strength, solace and comfort in God.

Our thoughts and prayers are with the family during this difficult time and we assure the Mandelas that we share the burden of this great grief.
