ABESIFAZANE BASETHEKWINI BAMEMA UMKHULEKO 

Abesifazane baseLindelani eThekwini bahlele umkhuleko wokuthula ohlelelwe ukuqala ngo 2 ntambama ngoMgqibelo mhlaka 17 Julayi 2010 eHholo iNtuzuma 'A' eLindelani. Ephawula ngokusunguleka komqondo walomkhuleko uMntwana Thoko Msimang ongomunye wabasunguli uthe: 

"Ngenxa yokukhathazeka ngokudlanga kwezinxushunxushu nobugebengu emphakathini, ngaba nombono wokuhlanganisa wonke amabandla kanye nomphakathi nje waseThekwini jikelele ngenhloso yokuba sihlanganyele ekukhulekeleni ukuba ziphele lezinxushunxushu kube nokuthula emphakathini, lokhu okuhlanganisa nezinhlangano zombusazwe njengoba sibona ukuthi nazo zikhungethwe yizinkinga zemindeni. 

"Emva kokubonisana nabathile sabe sesihlanganisa abesifazane balapha eLindelani ababayiKomiti lokulungiselela lomkhuleko. Umkhuleko siwuhlelele uMgqibelo mhlaka 17 Julayi 2010 ngo2 ntambama eHholo laseNtuzuma 'A' eLindelani. Sihlaba umkhosi wokumema wonke amabandla nomphakathi waseThekwini ukuba sibuthane sonke ngobuningi bethu sizokhuleka ngaphimbo-linye."

DURBAN WOMEN'S CALL TO PRAYER 

A group of women in eThekwini have called on the community to gather for a prayer meeting scheduled to begin at 2pm Saturday, 17 July 2010 at Ntuzuma 'A' Hall at Lindelani in Durban. Explaining the purpose of the prayer meeting, Princess Thoko Msimang said: 

"Troubled by the on-going ructions and criminal activities within communities, I had a feeling that we should gather all the eThekwini denominations, religious formations and communities in general so that we would pray together for an end to these unfortunate happenings, which have also affected political organizations as we see that they are also plagued by internal disturbances. 

"Following consultation with a few we then brought together a group of women with whom we worked towards the realization of this dream. The said prayer meeting is scheduled to begin at 2pm at Ntuzuma 'A' Hall at Lindelani. We call on all denominations, religious formations and communities to gather in their numbers so that together we will raise our voices in prayer."
