In its mandate to strengthen its position as
the official opposition in KwaZulu Natal, IFP has embarked on
reshuffling its own Shadow MECs in order to keep the ruling
party on its toes.
“Our objective is to monitor the performance
of our Province so that we will be able to evaluate the standard
of the Provincial MECs work and the Premier at the end of each
year. This is why it was essential for us to also reshuffle
Shadow MECs in order to tackle the weak points of each MEC in
their departments,” said Hon. Blessed Gwala, Leader of
Official Opposition in KZN.
The IFP team of Shadow MECs is capable of
tackling all departmental problems in order to achieve excellent
service delivery and improve audit outcomes in the Province.
“As the official opposition we are the
yardstick to effectively holding the executive on its failures,”
said Hon. Gwala.
The reshuffling of the Shadow Cabinet is as
follows:
-
The Hon. Mntomuhle Khawula is the new Shadow MEC for
Education from being Shadow MEC for Arts, Culture, Sports and
Recreation,
-
The Hon. Lindani Mncwango is now Shadow MEC
for Transport from Education
-
The Honourable iNkosi
Ntandoyenkosi Shabalala is the new Shadow MEC for Arts, Culture,
Sport and Recreation from Transport.
