With the mid-year exams just around the
corner, SADESMO would like to wish all students and learners
well for their forthcoming exams.
SADESMO National Spokesperson, Mkhuleko
Hlengwa, said "On behalf of SADESMO and the IFP, I wish all
students and learners all the best for their mid-year exams, we
certainly hope that everything in terms of logistics will be in
place to enable the exams to go ahead as planned."
Noting that the learning process is
multidimensional and involves many people, Hlengwa said: "We
urge all teachers, lecturers, learners and students to commit
themselves to incident-free exams; and most importantly we urge
teachers and lecturers to readily avail themselves to offer
additional help and assistance where and when the need arises."
Furthermore Hlengwa added "we are
extremely concerned with the strike action by Metrorail workers
- to which we are sympathetic, although they could not have
chosen a worse time. This strike action is placing students and
learners under unnecessary pressure, thus placing the future of
the country at stake. We urge all relevant stakeholders to reach
a speedy resolution to this unfortunate impasse, which is
threatening our education, as students and learners are unable
to attend their classes."
In conclusion Hlengwa said: "During this
period we encourage students and learners to prioritise their
learning. All subjects must be taken very seriously, even if
it's Woodwork. We wish everyone well for their exams, study hard
and do not settle for 'G' symbols like others who were satisfied
with mediocrity; and whom by virtue of neglecting his books has
grown up to be nothing more than an arrogant stooge of
ignorance."
