IFP TO HOLD KZN PROVINCIAL ELECTIVE CONFERENCE

20th June 2008

The IFP KwaZulu-Natal Provincial Executive Committee today announced that they will be holding a Provincial Conference from Friday, 27th June 2008 to Sunday, 29th June 2008 at the Hexagon Theatre, University of KwaZulu-Natal Pietermaritzburg Campus, Pietermaritzburg, KwaZulu-Natal. It will begin at 16h00 on Friday and end after lunch on Sunday.

The IFP Provincial Secretary, Dr BT Buthelezi further announced that the theme of the conference will be; "IFP READY TO GOVERN KWAZULU-NATAL IN 2009".

Dr Buthelezi said:

"The IFP is indeed ready to govern KwaZulu-Natal in order to put the Province back on the right footing.  The people of KwaZulu-Natal deserve better. In their term of office the ANC has not improved the quality of life for the citizens of KZN in any way. It's time for change. This conference is a stepping stone towards that change. We are excited about our elections and are looking to elect a Provincial Executive Committee that will lead us to victory in KZN."

"We are also extremely grateful that the IFP President, Prince Mangosuthu Buthelezi, will attend our conference. We anticipate with eagerness his keynote address, which is scheduled to take place at 10h00 on Saturday morning," concluded Dr Buthelezi.

The conference outline is below.

All media are invited to attend.
