The IFP in Gauteng has reaffirmed its
support for the current IFP leadership, and has called on its
members to desist from getting involved with rogue groups within
the party's structures who are sowing division and confusion.
"Members of the IFP leadership in
Gauteng would again like to reconfirm its support for the
current IFP leadership, and calls on all loyal IFP members in
Gauteng to desist from getting involved in the activities of
those who intend sowing destruction and disunity in the party.
We are one IFP, we have one destiny and we have one future,"
said Alco Ngobese, the IFP Deputy Gauteng Chairperson.
Ngobese said that the IFP in Gauteng
will now start mobilizing, in all earnest, for the upcoming 2011
elections.
"The rank and file of the IFP in Gauteng
will start an intensive campaigning programme in preparation for
the 2011 local government elections. The IFP in Gauteng will be
a united, strong force at the upcoming elections and we are
confident that we will achieve better results than in 2006,"
concluded Ngobese.
