The Office of the IFP President has confirmed the passing away of Prince Mangosuthu Buthelezi's daughter, Princess Lethuxolo Bengitheni, in a car accident this morning.

"Prince Buthelezi and his wife Princess Irene are simply devastated by the tragedy. The Buthelezi family thank His Majesty the King, President Mbeki and others for their condolences," said Private Secretary to Prince Buthelezi, Jon Cayzer.

Funeral arrangements will be announced in due course.
