RESOLUTIONS
1.
TODAY’S MARCH AGAINST THE IFP LEADERSHIP
Having received reports of the march by
self-declared IFP members against the incumbent leadership in
central Durban today; the Emergency Extended IFP National Council
resolves:

ANC INTERFERENCE IN THE INTERNAL POLITICS OF THE IFP
Noting the developments which clearly point to the
interference of sections of the ANC, such as the public utterances
by certain high-ranking members of the ANC NEC, the KZN ANC Women’s
League, the KZN ANC Youth League and KZN COSATU, in the internal
affairs of the IFP; the Emergency Extended IFP National Council
resolves:
-
to condemn the opportunism of the ANC and its subsidiaries
and partners in causing ructions within the IFP; and
-
to appeal to the wider IFP membership for vigilance against
being used by the IFP’s political opponents to destabilise their
party.
3.
ANC PROVOCATION DURING KZN WOMEN’S PARLIAMENT
Noting the public displays of disrespect and
extreme provocations directed at the IFP President Prince Mangosuthu
Buthelezi during the recent sitting of Women’s Parliament at
KwaMsane, some of which were echoed by ANC MPLs; the Emergency
Extended IFP National Council resolves:

to condemn the insults and abuse directed at IFP President by
both ANC delegates to Women’s Parliament and ANC MPLs in the KZN
Legislature and warn the ANC that such behavior by its Women’s
League can only fuel further tensions between the ANC and the IFP;
and
-
to condemn the abuse of government functions as platforms to
hurl insults at IFP President Prince Mangosuthu Buthelezi.
4.
ABSENCE OF THE IFP NATIONAL CHAIRPERSON FROM MEETINGS OF THE
IFP NATIONAL COUNCIL
Noting the prolonged absence of the IFP National
Chairperson VZ kaMagwaza-Msibi from the meetings of the IFP National
Council and her simultaneous presence in the KwaZulu-Natal
Legislature despite the fact that she has not been formally charged;
the Emergency Extended IFP National Council resolves:

ENQUIRY INTO CONDUCT OF THE IFP NATIONAL CHAIRPERSON
Noting the decision by IFP National Council taken
on 10 July 2010 to hold an enquiry into the conduct of the IFP
National Chairperson VZ kaMagwaza-Msibi; the Emergency Extended IFP
National Council resolves:
-
to support such an enquiry in order to give the IFP National
Chairperson an opportunity to clear her name; and
-
to urge the IFP National Chairperson to co-operate with the
IFP National Council in this regard.
