Whilst studying the subject of History at school my love and interest for politics developed to the point where I knew that this is what I wanted to do with my life. My late father, who was an active member of the IFP, also played a significant role in influencing me into a life of politics.
Ntambanana area and Umfolozi Local Municipality. Service delivery is improving, for instance with the electrification of homesteads, however the community still suffers from acute water supply shortages and logistical infrastructure challenges in the form of too few water delivery trucks.
What does it mean to you to be a public representative?
It is extremely important to me as I am the mandated voice of my constituency in Parliament. I enjoy participating in community meetings and raising community issues at National level in the hope that they find speedy resolution.
How can Parliament be more effective?
Parliament must be firm in holding the executive and all organs of state to account. There should be no partisanship or bias.
What is your message to the voters?
Voters must be active and interact with their representatives. Remember, your MPs are here to serve you.
