This follows the KZN launch on Workers’ Day. IFP President, Hon. Velenkosini Hlabisa, MPL, delivered the keynote speech. The IFP believes that this Private Member’s Bill (PMB) provides a real solution to youth unemployment. The Party started working on this Bill more than two years ago, following concerns about growing youth unemployment and the number of foreign nationals working in the unskilled and low-skilled occupational levels. In a nutshell, the IFP PMB’s aims to “prioritise the employment of South African citizens who are ready, willing, and capable of taking up the available job opportunities”. On Wednesday 27 April 2022, the Inkatha Freedom Party NEC, led by IFP President, Velenkosini Hlabisa, MPL, joined by the IFP Youth Brigade (IFPYB), lead a clean-up campaign in commemoration of Freedom Day.
The clean-up campaign forms part of the IFP’s ongoing efforts to provide support to communities in the wake of the recent floods that ravaged KwaZulu-Natal. In a practical demonstration of the IFP’s commitment to servant leadership, clean governance and to join the fight against the harmful effects of climate change, the IFP and IFPYB leadership were on the ground and rolling up their sleeves to clean up Battery Beach.-
