Mar 9, 2018 | Press Releases

The Inkatha Freedom Party welcomes the appointment of a commission of inquiry into state capture.

IFP Chief Whip in Parliament, Mr Narend Singh, MP, said,”The IFP has been requesting a commission of inquiry into the iniquitous state capture apparatus for well over a year now. We are very pleased that the commission under the astute and very able leadership of Judge Raymond Zondo, will be commencing its work shortly. We are equally pleased at the appointment of former auditor-general, Terrence Nombembe as head of the investigating team in this inquiry,”

“The IFP calls upon the commission to conduct a thorough and in-depth investigation into the cancer of state capture that has held, and possibly still lays siege to much of our state apparatus. All those found to be responsible for this treachery must receive the harshest criminal sanction by our justice system,”

“The IFP will closely the monitor all developments as this inquiry progresses’” concluded Singh, MP.
