Action against KZN MEC of Health for concealing weekly COVID-19 statistics

The IFP calls on the KZN Premier to take action against the KZN MEC of Health, Nomagugu Simelane-Zulu, for hiding information about the weekly Covid-19 statistics.

The IFP wonders what the MEC is hiding, as she is hell-bent on concealing the information. We want to know whether Covid-19 is increasing, or if it is declining. People are in panic mode, and they want to be provided with the correct information about what is really happening in KwaZulu-Natal.

Now the onus rests with the Premier as to whether he is aware of what the KZN MEC of Health is doing. If he is against what his Cabinet MEC is doing, he must act against her, without any further delay. The failure by the Premier to take necessary action against the MEC will prove that he is also part of the concealment of the Covid-19 statistics. We urge the Premier to prove us wrong by ensuring that the statistics are released on a weekly basis.

The IFP challenges the KZN MEC of Health, Nomagugu Simelane-Zulu, to tell the public why she is hiding the information about the Covid-19 statistics.
