Human Settlements to Blame for Eastern Cape Land Invasions

IFP MP on Human Settlement’s, Mr KP Sithole, said that, ”The blame for the recent land invasion by members of the Ginsberg Civic Association in the Eastern Cape, who earlier invaded a vacant piece of land identified for Housing Development, must fall squarely upon the shoulders of both the National and Provincial Department of Human Settlements in the Eastern Cape,”

“This situation has now arisen could have been avoided had ‘Human Settlements’ only delivered on their promises to the people who have been expecting land and houses since 1995,”

“Petty politics and corruption have once again triumphed over service delivery to the people. The IFP calls upon both National and Provincial Department of Human Settlements in the Eastern Cape to immediately engage with the members of Ginsberg Civic Association and resolve this issue before it escalates out of control,” concluded Sithole, MP.
