IFP Congratulates Taiwanese President Tsai-ing Wen on Landslide Victory

On behalf of the Inkatha freedom Party [IFP], our President Emeritus, His Excellency, Prince Mangosuthu Buthelezi and the entire IFP leadership, I would like to express heartiest of congratulations to the Democratic Progressive Party [DPP] and their leader and President, Tsai Ing-Wen who was re-elected yesterday by an overwhelming majority of votes in the Taiwanese Presidential election.

Such decisive victory augurs well and is a clear indication of the will of the Taiwanese people as they continue in their efforts for full recognition and independence of Taiwan from the Peoples Republic of China.

We wish President Tsai Ing-Wen and the DPP strength, courage and resoluteness of mandate as they carry forward the clear will of the people of Taiwan in the rejection of
authoritarian China and continued upliftment and international recognition for Taiwan and its citizens.

The IFP remains a firm supporter and friend to Taiwan and its people and looks forward to our continued relationship.

Hon. Velenkosini Hlabisa
President
Inkatha Freedom Party
