today commit myself as your councillor to provide excellence in my service to the community.

I pledge to:

  • Be free of corruption and to prevent corruption
  • To ensure open, inclusive and participatory governance
  • To serve my community to the best of my our ability utilising all the resources at our disposal
  • To behave –both professionally and personally – in a manner that is always above reproach
  • Be a person of integrity
  • Be open and fair at all times
  • Include you in decision-making
  • Be accountable
  • Be available at all times
  • Take your concerns seriously
  • Treat you with dignity and respect
  • Regularly consult with you and to report back
  • To be the voice of the community in all Council meetings
  • Work for and with you
